About the Event

Data-Wiz: Data Chronicles is an online data hackathon that challenges teams to use statistics, coding, and analytical insight to craft innovative data-driven solutions to real-world problems. Teams must clean, analyze, and visualize datasets to uncover hidden stories — blending technical skill with a magician's flair for surprise.

Round 1: Preliminary Qualifying Stage

Preliminary qualifying stage of the hackathon. Online Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) round designed to test participants' understanding of data analysis fundamentals, statistics, data interpretation, and logical reasoning.

The round will be conducted in a monitored online environment to ensure fairness and integrity throughout the assessment. Each registered team will participate jointly, with one submission per team. Participants are expected to maintain honesty and complete the quiz without any external assistance or tools.

Duration: 30 minutes | Questions: 25-30 | Format: Only one submission per team is allowed

Round 2: Data Analysis & Presentation

Shortlisted teams will be provided with a dataset and given 24 hours to analyze, develop, and submit their solution or application based on the given problem statement.

Teams are expected to demonstrate their analytical thinking, technical proficiency, and creativity in building effective solutions using the provided data.

After submission, each team will go through a one-on-one presentation round, where they will present their approach and solution to the panel of judges. From this round, the top 2 teams will be shortlisted as finalists.

Submission Requirements:
