Round 1: The Grand Auction
Welcome to the IPL Auction arena! Each team represents a franchise and receives an equal budget purse to build their dream cricket squad. Players from various categories (batsmen, bowlers, all-rounders, wicket-keepers) will go under the hammer one by one. Bid wisely, manage your budget, and create a winning combination!
Auction Mechanics:
- Each franchise receives a fixed budget (e.g., ₹100 crores in play money)
- Players are categorized by role: Batsmen, Bowlers, All-Rounders, Wicket-Keepers
- Players have base prices—bidding starts from the base and goes up
- Teams raise paddles or buzzers to place bids
- Highest bidder wins the player—player is added to their squad
- Budget decreases with each successful bid
- Auction continues until all players are sold or budget exhausted
Squad Requirements:
- Minimum 11 players, maximum 15 players per squad
- At least 4 batsmen (including openers)
- At least 4 bowlers (including pacers and spinners)
- At least 2 all-rounders
- At least 1 wicket-keeper
- Teams must stay within budget limits
Strategy Tips:
- Don't blow your budget on a few star players—balance is key

Rules & Guidelines
- Teams must consist of exactly 3 members representing one franchise
- Total event duration: 5 hours for complete auction process
- Event is offline—all bidding happens in the auction hall
- Each franchise receives an equal starting budget
- Teams must raise paddle/buzzer to place bids—only valid bids count
- Bidding increments will be specified by the auctioneer
- Once a player is sold, the decision is final—no refunds or exchanges
- Exceeding budget limit results in disqualification
- Teams must meet minimum squad requirements (11 players with role balance)
- Auction master's decisions on bidding disputes are final
- Maintain sportsmanship and fair play throughout the auction
